Alex Sailer and I created Spotsy to solve a shortcoming of the official Instagram app. That shortcoming was location based search. Whether it’s nearby, major cities or anywhere you want to see. Shouldn’t you be able to see what’s being posted there RIGHT NOW? Of course you should, so we built Spotsy. In the past, Instagram has relied on Foursquare for this location information, but not anymore.

I love well structured code. Code with clear delineation of responsibilities. Code that follows the DRY principle. Code that actually feels satisfying to maintain and will help you sleep at night. That’s probably why I still code in python. It’s also why I was so excited when I first heard about MV* for web apps.
